The ARTiculatesThe Articulates, Amanda C. Sandos and Terri "TJ" Miller, work together as artists, writers and friends. We hope that you will enjoy the images here and have an opportunity to visit us in Lynchburg, VA. We have moved our studios to the Light Wings Gallery of another artist and friend Gail Laurant at 849 Belmont Avenue, Lynchburg Virginia 24504. Phone: 434-845-6719 (Terri's voicemail #2, Amanda's voicemail #3) *NOTE: We just had our first open house at LightWings Gallery, the new home for our artwork, and will be updating this site soon with all the new works we have created. Please bear with us as we catch up after all the home preparation and getting ready for Fall shows.
If you are interested in our work or would like a monthly update notice please email us at: for Terri Miller Amanda and I both advocate against the ignorant squandering of precious and priceless artworks and the loss of woman's colleges in light of what has happened to and at Randolph-Macon Woman's College (Randolph College). It is sad that the ignorance and greed of a few dictates the present and future of many. We can only hope that for others it is not too late to learn the bitter lessons that are left after the pillaging of a once great institution and art collection. "The value of art, great or small, is not merely measured by dollars but more so by the " Art is about our heritage, our history, providing an understandingof the past,
and leaving our mark on the future." -Amanda Sandos
It is our hope that those of you who truly respect and appreciate art will step up and speak out about the unethical practices and ignorant mishandling of priceless works by college administrators and so called prestigious art auctioneers such as Christie's. Lynchburg residents and Virginians should also speak out about the loss of not only artwork but slices of American culture and history that were unique to this Lynchburg community. This is not just happening in our small community but across the nation in other institutions of so called higher learning. Please take time to be sure your alma mater or local college/university is not dishonoring the intent of donors of works of art or history and using them as collateral for anything other than their intended purpose.
